He is the son of an agriculturist, Padmashri Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil, doyen of the cooperative movement in India.

He is MLA of Shirdi Constituency. He was Former Minister of Agriculture and Water Resource, Govt of Maharashtra., Chairman, The Ahmednagar District Central Co-Operative Bank Ltd., Ahmednagar & Trustee of Saibaba Sansthan, Shirdi. His area of interest is Rural Development through appropriate Technologies. His dynamic leadership and experience of high level co-operative management is invaluable.

Hon’ble Dr. G.R. Mhaisekar

He has been a Freedom Fighter of Hyderabad. He was Ex- Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and Former-Vice-chancellor of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. For his exemplary contribution in field of education was awarded Maharashtra State Teachers Award in 1972. He is renowned Educationist and is involved in many projects run by Pravara Rural Education Society, Pravaranagar.
