ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES:

GENESIS

Bank of India, Central Bank of India, Canara Bank, Corporation Bank, Pravara Sahakari Bank, NABARD, Hon. Manusheth Agrawal, SIDBI, IDBI, Bank of Baroda and other the progressive banks took the initiative in mitigating the unemployment problems under the leadership of Dr. Y.K. Alagh, Khasdar Shri. Balasaheb Vikhe Patil, Dr. G.R. Mhaisekar and Amdar Shri. Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Their collective thinking gave concrete shape in providing an institutional framework to SREDC.

MISSION: -         

*         Channelising youth power in wealth creation.

*         Empower youth focused particularly from deprived sections to share economic progress equitably.

PHILOSOPHY: -

Transformation of rural youth to acquire productive identity through short duration intervention. This is achieved by bringing technology, training and credit in an integrated manner in their reach.

TRUSTEE: Governing Body –

The board of governors consist of Trustees of SSRI, executive chairman of SSRI, Two persons with rural backward, Chief Accountant and financial officers of PRES.         

OBJECTIVES: -

*         Identify, orient, motivate, train and assist rural youth to take up self-employment as career.

*         Promote Rural Entrepreneurship.

*         Train village level workers.

*         Counselling and Project Consultancy.

    Establishment: -

The Programme was set up and started with the following…

01.    Staff:

a.   Director-01.

b.   Project Director:- Prof. Ramesh Dave, EDI-Ahmedabad was appointed as a Project Director to set up & start the SREDC Center, full time he was in Center for one year.

c.    Co-Ordinator & Trainer:- 02 (Full Time)

d.   Technical Staff             :- 05 (Part Time)

e.    Accounts Clerk             :- 01 (Full Time)

f.       Computer Operator      :- 01 (Full Time)

g.   Peons                           :- 01 (Full Time)

05.    Equipments                           :- Two Computer Set, One HP -TV-VCP Fax

ELIGIBILITY: -

First Generation Entrepreneur: youth having aptitude to take up self employment in the age group of 18-35 years having ability to read and write local language. Eligibility criteria of trainees for rural Development and Technology transfer programmes are usually determined by the NGO”s which sponsor them.

RESOURCE PERSONS:

          Officers of the institute who are accomplished trainer motivators trained by reputed national level institutes provide inputs on behavioral aspects, managerial aspects and project launching formalities.

*         Successfully self-employed past trainees of institute as well as skilled technicians impart skill development training.

*         Highly placed academicians of professional colleges, developmental administrators and bankers supplements the training inputs.

TRINING INPUTS:

          Pre Training phase: identification and selection of candidates thought scientific and sound selection process.

 Training phase I: Developing achievement motivation and entrepreneurial competencies.

Training phase II: Developing technical know-how and skill

Training phase III: launching formalities which include opportunity identification, conducting market survey, preparation of project profile and familiarizing with schemes of support organizations/banks.

Training phase IV: Managerial aspects like management of men, material and money, market perception/ intelligence and marketing.

POST TRAINING FOLLOW UP:

The cutting edge of Shirdi Sai Rural Institute, Rahata training is the post training follow up to sustain motivation level come over teething problems of new entrepreneurs. This is achieved by:

01.           Facilitating credit linkage with banks for setting up of micro enterprises.

02.           Post training follow up for 2-3 years after training through –

*         Regular correspondence

*         Individual contract

*         Unit visit

*         Village /Taluka / District / Banks branch level meeting

*         Special follow up meeting at institute and district level

*         Business linkage

*         Seminar, etc.

OTHER ACTIVITIES:

01.           Hon. Shri. N. Shrinivasan Saheb, Chief General Manager, NABARD and Hon. Shri. V. Chandrashakharan Saheb, Deputy General Manager, Bajaj Auto Ltd., Pune  visited centre and guided the participants on Valedictory Function of Bajaj Auto’s Two Wheeler Repairing (RSO).

02.           Hon. Shri. Rajeshjii Parjane Saheb, Chairman, Godawari Milk Product, Kopargaon and Former Director of Canara Bank he guided the participants on Valedictory Function of Cell Phone Repair and Maint.

03.           Our trainees have visited Bhandardara Dam, Akola Dist- Ahmednagar  under Photography and Video-Shooting Course.
