The Late Padmshri Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil opined that the root cause of backwardness of villagers is only lack of Educational Facilities. He also remarked that the Socio-Economic upliftment of Rural Society is possible with the help of good Education. With this view in mind, Shri. Khasdar Balasaheb Vikhe Patil has started the movement of improvement in education.
Hon. Amdar Shri. Radhakrishnji Vikhe Patil has picked up this principle for the academic excellence of Rahata campus. He has given stress purposefully for Higher Education specially to the suffering group i.e. the Girls. In addition to this, he has also taken initiative to run the skill based training courses in the same campus. With these visions he has started the college and motivates to improve the academic records of the students as well as the staff.

01. Mr. B. S. Sonawane stood first in Economics in Pune University & has received Late. Tulpule Prize (2002-03).
02. Mr. Kishor Dange received a Gold Medal in Cycling for the Cycle Race held from Bhivandi to Nashik. He also received the “Ghat Ka Raja” Award.
03. Our Two Science Students stood First in M. Sc. Chemistry at P.V.P.College, Pravaranagar.
04. Nine Students have joined Armed Forces & 128 Students are having Self Employment in Pilgrimage Center of Shirdi.
05. Under Shirdi Sai Rural Institute, 154 Students have taken Training of Entrepreneurship & 86 Students have started their Self Employment and generated more than 300 Employment's.
06. Participated 10 students in All Maharashtra and Goa State Level “Sakal Karandak - Drama Competition” with drama - “Mi Jagel Tarach jag Jagel” under the guidance of Dr. Avinash Kadam (Nov. 20, 2006).
07. Participated 2 students from Department of Geography in 23rd Annual National Conference of Maharashtra Bhugolshastra Parishad held at SS Girls’ College, Gondia - 5 to 7 Jan. 2007.

EXTRA CIRICULAR ACTIVITIES RUN BY COLLLEGE:
* N.S.S.: 250 Students are enrolled for regular activity & 125 Students
for Special Camping every year.
* Sports: Students have participated in various Intercollegiate &
Intergroup Tournaments held by Pune University in the year 2006-07.
* Placement Cell: Two students of our college were selected for training in Union Bank of India, Branch- Rahata & 16 Students got jobs in various Hotels in Shirdi.
* Earn & Learn Scheme: Our college is running this scheme with the economical support of Pune University. 32 students got benefit of this Scheme for the year 2005-06.
* Ganesh Festival: Under the guidance of Hon.Amdar Shri.Radhkrishnaji
Vikhe Patil, Shirdi Sai Rural Institute, Rahata, have been arranging “Ganesh Parisar Cultural & Sports Festival” since 2004. This year 5365 Students and 39 Schools & Colleges participated. More than 11000 peoples enjoyed Cultural Programmes every Day.
* Student Medical Check-Up: Every Student of 1st Year under Graduate
courses made Medical Check-Up Every Year.
* Competitive Examination and Carrier Guidance Centre : 117 Students are
enrolled for regular activity and about 22 students from the last year of degree course are preparing for MPSC examinations for this year.
* Guest Lecturers : In this academic year, i.e. 2006-07, four lecturers were arranged on various topic. For this, some academic dignities have visited to our college.
* Staff Academy : Monthly lectures have planed and the activity is going on regularly.
* Spoken English Course : Spoken English Course of ‘City and Guilds’ have started with full strength of intake capacity.
* Vocational Courses : Proposals for eight vocational Courses of University of Pune have submitted to the University for grants. The work of designs of planning and syllabus of that particular courses have almost completed. We will be stated these courses in the coming next few days.
