To acquire capabilities for developing social and organisational skill for technology generation and diffusion.
To act as catalyst and facilitator for promoting priority to rural development concerns in the region and the country.
To consciously strive for developing methods for supporting marginal farmers, landless labourers, women, children and deprived sections of rural society.
To provide relevant education and training to artisan draftsman. Professional so as to equip them will recent technologies for rural development.
To undertake in-depth studies into problems and complaints relating to the whole camps of rural development and evolve strategies for their resolution.
To educate and motivate people to use natural resources economically.
To raise consciousness and realisation of soil and water as the most important natural resource and to protect conserve and use non-renewable resource in a sustainable manner by good management based on improved social organisation and technology.
To promote the spirit of self-reliance for development and to sustain a widespread base for Agricultural and rural development.
